COMPUTER NETWORK ARCHITECT IN MIAMI, FLORIDA
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and implement comprehensive computer and information networks and network solutions, such as LAN, WAN, intranets, extranets, and other data communication networks for customers.
· Develop computer network architectural strategies throughout all stages, addressing business/industry requirements and accommodating growth.
· Create or recommend network security measures, such as firewalls, network security audits, or automated security probes; and design, implement and manage security countermeasures when network vulnerabilities arise.
· Perform network modeling, analysis and planning.
· Provide technical expertise for system transitions, migrations and consolidation.
· Develop disaster recovery plans.
· Monitor and analyze network performance, including monitoring of systems’ health and performance, to identify inefficient use of computer resources, while performing capacity planning to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
· Maintain customer networks by adding, deleting, and backing up files from the network.
· Research and recommend specific network hardware or software requirements, such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas.
· Responsible for triaging, implementing solutions, and optimizing application, network, and platform related performance issues.
· Assess new and emerging technologies within the information technology and computer science industries and work with vendors on implementations to incorporate cutting-edge solutions for previous and new customers.
· Perform incident resolution, problem determination and root cause analysis in accordance with customer service agreement.
· Evaluate network designs to determine whether customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
· Prescribe system backup/disaster recovery procedures and directs recovery operations in the event of destruction of all or part of the operating system or other system components.
· Participate in customer network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware and software and integration testing.
· Liaise and coordinate network or design activities with other departments.
· Draft detailed proposals, prepare detailed network-related reports for customers that include diagrams, charts, equipment configurations, design documentation, and recommended technologies.
Requirements:
· Must have at least 4 years of experience in the job offered or as IT Service Manager
· Must have ITIL 4.0 Certification
· Must have ConnectWise Manage Implementation Certification
· Must have ConnectWise Manage Automate Certification
· Must have experience using Ubiquiti UniFi Controller Software
